The Famous Flip Up Tie, now known as The Pop Up Tie, is a classic comedy novelty with a distinctive diamond shaped metal frame designed to fit inside the contour of a necktie. This previously owned example is a collectible piece of vintage magic history.

Unlike the straight plastic rod found in modern versions, this gimmick uses a diamond shaped wire frame that follows the shape of the tie. Marked Patent Pending, this example is believed to date from the 1960s or 1970s.
