Kennard's Mystery Box by Daytona Magic

First sold in the mid 1960's. It was a tiny box made by D. Robbins. A ton of them were sold but alas it disappeared. Kennard came across an old instruction and decided to make it bigger and better. The gimmick is stronger and better hidden. The ring is larger. The box is made from solid oak and treated with Tung oil.

This classic close up item belongs in your show!

A metal ring is placed on the floor of a small wooden box. The back and front doors of the box are now closed. A rod is placed in the slotted holes existing on the side walls of the box with the ends of the rod and protruding outside the box.

You make a magical pass around the box then open the front door.  The ring is seen to be trapped on the rod! Both doors of the box showing clearly that there isn't a duplicate ring.

Give the ring to one spectator to examine, the rod to another and the box to another. There is nothing tricky to be found.
