Technicolor Miracle by Mark Strivings

A spectator is shown a book (it's very real and ungimmicked), which literally contains hundreds of thousands of words! One or two are going to be selected totally at random.

A package of ten multi-colored markers is introduced and one is selected by the spectator. Using the chosen marker, the performer demonstrates that he wants the spectator to draw a nickel-sized circle on any random page. To further make sure that nothing is forced, the spectator is invited to open the book BEHIND HIS BACK to freely choose a page (it's really free here, folks). He then draws a circle somewhere on the page and closes the book.

The performer then shows that there is an envelope taped to the back wall of the auditorium, which has been in plain view the entire time (it really has, folks). Inside the envelope is the revealed word(s)! OR the performer can have the closed book held between his hands and psychically devine the circled word(s)! OR the spectator can reopen the book and find his circled area (there is only one circled area, and the rest of the book is completely examinable), and the performer can then read the spectator's mind as the spectator visualizes the word(s).

Once all of this is done, the spectator can keep the book, or newspaper, or magazine. Whatever you want to use for this effect, you can! It's a miracle! In fact, when you see how this works, you'll say to yourself, "Brilliant. Simply brilliant!" Technicolor Miracle utilizes two techniques never before used to create a mind numbing miracle!

Remember, the book, newspaper, or magazine is completely regular and can change every performance! You never peek or handle the book in any way once in the spectator's possession. The circle drawn in the book is the exact color match of the marker the spectator chooses! Best of all, the preparation for this takes all of about 15 seconds to do! Unreal!
