When these tapes were
made in 1983, Michael was well on his way towards carving out an unmatched legacy
in the magic field. By that time he had already used these techniques to win the
Gold Medal for the WORLD SLEIGHT OF HAND title in Lausanne, Switzerland, as well
as Close Up Magician of the Year and Lecturer of the Year from the Academy of
Magical Arts.
Following the release
of these tapes, Michael went on to receive both the Close up Magician of the
Year and Lecturer of the Year from the Academy of Magical Arts for a second
time. Then, again using some of the techniques taught here, he went on to also
receive their Parlour Magician of the Year.
As a performer, Michael
has appeared on Johnny Carson’s THE TONIGHT SHOW twice and The Merv Griffin
Show ten times! He has performed privately in the homes of Hugh Hefner and Michael
Jackson, served as magic consultant for David Copperfield and Doug Henning T.V.
specials, authored 7 Best Selling books of original magic, starred in 23 instructional
video tapes, and published THE MAGICAL ARTS JOURNAL.
